Success stories
P Peters – Business owner – Key2Calm, UK
Paula was a teacher for 10 years, teaching at secondary school (Years 7-11 including GCSE level) and was extremely passionate about her role and dedicated to the children she taught. However, through teaching and further development as a Mental Health lead, Paula felt she had more to offer and had a strong desire to develop in this area. Constraints within the education system prevented Paula from expanding and having the freedom to train and progress further in the field of psychology and hypnotherapy. Also, Paula was struggling with her whole work/life balance and felt frustrated and unhappy with the lack of quality of life she was living. She was overwhelmed and felt completely exhausted and demoralised to the point of it affecting her own health and wellbeing.
At this point, Paula realised it was not sustainable and she needed to create an exit strategy by which means she could study and train as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, leave the teaching profession in pursuit of a new career and set up her own business, enabling her to have the quality of life she strived for. She knew this would give her the freedom to carve out her own business around the work she was passionate about, whilst still being able to go into schools (freelance) and provide Mental Health support to the children.
Paula recognised she needed support to plan her exit strategy and create a realistic action plan to make it happen. Paula was aware of my work as a Life Coach and therefore had an understanding about the concept of life coaching and how it could help her stay focused on her long-term goal and break that goal down into a manageable action plan that would deliver and make her dream a reality – and so our coaching partnership began.
In July 2021 Paula started her training to become a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist with the prestigious Clifton Practice in Brighton and qualified in the Spring of 2022. She took the courageous step of handing in her resignation in May 2022 and launched her own business in October 2022. I am very pleased to say that Paula is now the proud owner of her own thriving business, Key2Calm . Her dream has become a reality in a well structured space of time due to Paula’s resilience and determination and her commitment to the coaching process. The belief in herself and the desire to create a quality of life that provides her with the work/life balance she has wished for, has now become her ‘every-day’.
“I highly recommend Sally as a life coach as she is professional, approachable & extremely skilled at what she does. She has changed my life for the better & I can’t thank her enough. The impact has been so significant that I have continued having Sally as my life coach and now check-in with her on a monthly basis.”

J Williams – National Development Manager, UK
Janine is a National Development Manager for a Charity for disabled people and extremely busy. I have helped her plan and set goals in her day-to-day work life, which ultimately has resulted in Janine working in a streamlined manner. I have enabled JW to create space in a very busy working week, where she can also have time off.
Janine completed a course of six sessions with me, which helped her overcome some obstacles and break down barriers that were getting in the way of Janine achieving her goal. Having realised the benefits coaching brings to her working week and home life, Janine now continues with me on a fortnightly basis because of the difference coaching has made and the focus it gives her.
“I have many goals in my life and Sally helps me massively by keeping me focussed on my main goal and I feel confident I will get there!”
J Tristram – Wedding Stylist, Business owner, UK
My coaching sessions with Sally completely changed my mind set on how to pro-actively achieve my goals. Prior to being coached by Sally, I would set myself unrealistic targets and timeframes in which to complete them. Then, when I inevitably failed at reaching my goals, I would feel like a failure which would demotivate me and I would struggle with finding the motivation to continue reaching my goals.
Since working with Sally, I have learnt the value of breaking down my goal(s) into small, manageable steps. I have also learnt the importance of setting realistic time frames that do not overwhelm me and scheduling time within my day to complete the tasks. I am now able to confidently analyse a task and ask myself how long it will take me to complete it, where in my diary I can schedule an uninterrupted, realistic amount of time to complete it and foresee any factors that may prevent me from achieving these tasks.
With this mindset and planning, I feel more accomplished when completing smaller steps rather than failing when I try to complete a huge goal in one step. I have been able to apply this mindset to several areas of my life, from building my business to my goals with my health and well-being.
Sally consistently encouraged me to analyse each area of goal setting and enabled me to come to the realisation that I have all the answers within myself and that by setting some time aside to plan and think about what it is I was setting out to achieve, that I could indeed get there and feel that sense of accomplishment and gratitude for the hard work I had put in to getting where I want to be.
“I am eternally grateful to Sally for the tools life coaching has provided me with and for reminding me that I am capable of anything I put my mind to. I definitely hope to work with Sally again in the near future.”
