Let’s be clear on what coaching is / is not
Coaching is not therapy, counselling or advice-giving.
Coaching is a process where I support you to make changes, for you to learn something new and achieve goals. This process happens through conversation, with the aim to help you make progress in a certain area or areas of your life, either at work or to overcome a problem you are struggling with.
I do not have the answers, but I will be committed to working with you to explore them and help you identify how to move forward to achieve your ambitions.
I recognise that anything you share with me (documented or verbal) is regarded confidential, whether it is business or personal information. I will undertake not to, at any time (unless required to do so by law) either directly or indirectly, use or disclose any information you share with me during our sessions.
A typical coaching session
Coaching is carried out either in person, over Zoom or by telephone., preferably once a fortnight, but this would be dependent on the long/short term goal. The usual procedure is that you would contact me after arranging a convenient time and date.
I will guide you through a 6-point process.
- Review the previous session and the actions that you completed.
- Discuss what went well / not so well and how you might address this going forward.
- Set the goal or what you would like to focus on for the session.
- Consider where you currently are with this goal.
- Consider your options in meeting this goal.
- Agree your actions for the next two weeks.
Each session will be for 1 hour. I will manage the timing of the session and ensure you gain full value from the session.

I want to start coaching now – what do I do?
- Contact me HERE to book a call to discuss your requirements and answer any questions you may have.
- When you book a package, I will send details through regarding the terms and conditions which will include the frequency of our sessions, payment for the sessions and taking of some basic contact information and a little bit of detail around where you see yourself at the moment.
- Arrange an ‘Intake’ session which will start us talking about you and your aspirations. This will be a 90-minute session.
In relation to specific strengths, Sally has a particular talent for making you think of a way for the goal to be measurable. This is an area that I myself have struggled with and it has been interesting to see how Sally does it. In fact, I have found myself adopting some of the questions she uses, and this has improved my own practice.
Sally also has good soft skills. She builds rapport quickly and is not afraid to use silence to stimulate deeper thinking. In all, it has been a pleasure to be coached by Sally and thanks to the sessions I have been taking action in areas where previously I procrastinated.’
